We made this as a school project, and my son couldn’t stop eating them! 😄 They turned out quite sweet, so if you prefer a more balanced taste, try using green apples.

Ingredients
• 1 apple (preferably green and firm)
• 14 mini dates → Nuts, Nut Butters & Seeds
• 1/4 cup melted dark chocolate → Chocolate
• 1/8 cup crushed almonds → Nuts, Nut Butters & Seeds
Preparation
Prepare the Apples and Dates
• Soak the apple and dates in baking soda water, then rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
Prepare the Dates
• Remove the pits from the dates and place them between two layers of plastic wrap.
• Use a rolling pin to flatten them.
Melt the Chocolate
• Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or at low heat in a steam bath until smooth.
• Coconut oil can be added for a smoother consistency.
Wrap the Apple with Dates
• Place the cored apple in the center of the flattened dates.
• Using plastic wrap, carefully wrap the dates around the apple until fully covered.
Chill in the Freezer
• Place the wrapped apple in the freezer for 5 minutes to firm up.
Coat with Chocolate
• Dip the chilled apple into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated.
Garnish with Almonds
• Sprinkle crushed almonds over the chocolate for added crunch and flavor.
Final Chill & Serve
• Place the chocolate-coated apple in the refrigerator for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
🍏 Tip: For a more balanced flavor, use green apples!
